Workshops

Disability Now (GR) - Eleni Strati
Workshop Title: Empowerment for Prevention

Aim: The workshop aimed at exploring ways of proactive professional support in the prevention of violence against children with disability through understanding of risk and protective factors related specifically to disability. Focus has been given on reflecting different perspectives of disability and how these can shape support outcomes.
Activities: The workshop has involved participants in role play and discussion on the basis of scenarios displaying interactions among professionals, parents, disabled children and support organizations. Participants were able to bring forward their own experience as well as exchange and develop knowledge in preventive and empowering practice.

Centro Documentazione Handicap di Bologna (I)
Workshop title: The “Inkpot” project / Il Progetto Calamaio

Aim: the workshop aimed to offer to the participants the opportunity to experience Diversity through the meeting with animators with disabilities. The newly established relationship has been the basis for making prejudice related to disability emerge and to reflect on its origin. The participants have critically reflected on concepts such as equality, diversity and the image of disability, and have tried to innovate their thinking in order to increase the attitude of openness towards others.
Activity: the workshop has used interactive methods such as associative thinking, followed by a discussion.

Ateliers

Selene Centro Studi Eko - Roberta Zerbini
Workshop on the human body and its movements.

Roberta Zerbini will conduct a workshop centred on the human body and its kinetic, expressive and emotional resources. Through dance and contact-improvisation we will establish a non verbal communication channel. The activity requires the availability to move and to be in contact with other people. We will work alone and in groups in an open space and on the floor. Comfortable clothing is recommended and no shoes are allowed.

Lorenzo Labanti and Dali Vit have conducted a creative workshop for young adults with disabilities
